A revolutionary pole show and immersive art experience set in the year 3000, La Nubiana celebrates the victory over the war on the Black Female Body. Combining electrifying performances, Afro-futurist visuals, and real-time generative art, the show transformed The Playhouse into a neon-lit sanctuary of liberation and joy. Through movement, light, and storytelling, La Nubiana brought together characters, mythology, and the audience in a sensory journey of empowerment and rebellion.

In the distant year of Y3K, the galaxy has witnessed a revolution unlike any other. For centuries, the war against the Black Female Body raged—a war waged by the invisible hands of oppression, algorithms, and the forces of control. A war fought in the shadows, fought in silence.
They tried to erase us. They tried to strip us of our voice, our movement, our power. They locked us behind invisible bars—censored, surveilled, shadowbanned. But from the depths of their control, we rose. Through Pole, through art, through code, we found our weaponry. Through rhythm, resistance, and radical unity, we forged La Nubiana—the resistance force that liberated not only bodies, but minds.

We looked to the past, to the ancestral technologies buried in ancient soil, to reimagine a future they couldn’t dream of. With solar-net crystals, Afro-crypto rhythms, and ancestral codes, we fought back—not with brute force, but with defiance, with creativity, and with movement.
The oppressors’ algorithms, their shadowy tactics, couldn’t contain us. We became the glitch in their system, the virus in their code. We made our bodies the revolution. Every spin is a declaration, every tease a riot, every twerk, a shout for freedom.The revolution spread beyond borders, beyond systems—across galaxies. And now, in the heart of The Playhouse, we gather not as victims, but as victors. We celebrate what we’ve built, what we’ve reclaimed.Let this night be a celebration of resistance, rebellion, and a future where we refuse to be erased.

LA NUBIANA
A sanctuary for Black women and their allies in a galaxy across the cosmos. The year is 3000. Out of the ashes and chaos of the old order, a new world has finally risen. Palestine, Congo, Sudan and Ukraine no longer remember a time when they were not free. Sex workers and skrippers reign supreme; their bodies are valued in asteroids, used not for the male gaze but for the fantasy of liberation. Booty cheeks flash as bright as two suns combined. Health insurance is assured, mostly because of the armor we have built for ourselves using ancient afro-solar cryptos that protect us from bullets and bitches.
A liberation movement for the ages has upended the status quo, connecting the downtrodden through the power of love, art, and most importantly, DANCE!
Ladies and gentlemen, The War on The Black Female Body has been won.
